Dear Parents, the following email was sent to students earlier today. Please encourage your students to join us if they would like to use their lecture notes more efficiently and effectively! Lindy
Dear Students,
4 weeks into the semester, and class notes, papers, handouts, etc. are really starting to pile up. I often hear students say “I have all of these notes, but I don’t know what to do with them!” At this week’s Study Skills Seminar
Noteworthy Notes!
Wednesday, 9.21 at 6 pm
Thursday, 9.22 at 4 pm
Lightsey Center 344
Snacks served!
we will examine several different common issues with notes and note taking—staying alert and on-task in lecture classes, alternative methods to re-copying notes, and turning notes into more effective study guides for college tests—and discuss a variety of strategies. The information in this Seminar can be used by students at any level, first years through fifth, who are enrolled in heavy note taking classes!
I hope to see you this week!
