The National Awards Office would like to introduce our four Goldwater Scholar nominees who are currently competing for one of the nation’s highest honors for undergraduates studying science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. These four students competed for nomination at the College of Charleston and were selected from a very competitive group of 13 students.
- Phia Gierszal is a Junior and is studying Chemistry and Chemical Synthesis.
- Trey Nguyen is a Sophomore who is studying Physics and Astronomy.
- Kirsten Snyder is a Junior who majors in Molecular Biology and minors in Neuroscience and Chemistry.
- Hails Tanaka is a Junior who is majoring in Marine Biology and minoring in Linguistics.
