We are pleased to announce that we are now in the final stages of hiring a faculty member who will have teaching responsibilities in the both the political science department and the public administration program.
This was a very exciting search process. As many of you might remember, at the close of our Community Conversation on Diversity last year, we emerged with several suggestions on how we might improve the diversity of future faculty candidate pools including writing the ad to appeal to diverse candidates, intentional outreach to specific doctoral programs, and including students and staff on the search committee. We are pleased to report that all of these suggestions were implemented as part of this current search process.
The flyer below provides information about the campus visits for the three finalists. We encourage everyone to attend the job talks and provide any feedback you might have regarding each of the candidates. Your feedback is an important part of the search process and we hope to get lots of valuable information from our students. You will also be able to find copies of their letter of application, CVs, and teaching philosophy in the MPA office if you would like to familiarize yourself with the candidates prior to their campus visit.
