I never said it was an interesting story

There was once a beautiful white crow that sang truth and beauty and fell underneath scalding black tar then sat forever crippled on a busy city sidewalk. By day it stumbled between human spit and sizzling street pavement. It couldn’t fly; cats had nibbled off its wings. It just teetered and sang, “Caw!” Nobody cared or listened, for they didn’t speak crow. Even the ones who did ignored such a silly bird, sitting around and all day crying, “Love!”
