As an update for the website refresh, most all(if not all) subdomains and pages of the main College website have been updated to the new template design. We have also applied the new main index page to each site enabling the use of the full width banner, news feed, events feed, as well as a College YouTube video.
Along with the new main index page, most all right hand column links from each site have been migrated allowing the full width of the page to be used for the main content. All links were migrated unless the previous quick links included links that may be found within the current drop down menu. Very few sites are left to complete.
Where applicable, we also added any news and events feeds that may have been associated with your site to the main index page so that it appears as a feed stream.
“HOW TO…” FEATURE INFO SHEET
Attached is the latest revision of the new feature “How to” info sheet. Within the pdf, you will find instructions on how to do the following:
- Add a full width banner to the main index page
- Enable and edit the news feed, events feed, and College YouTube video on the main index page
- Adding or editing the Additional Resources, Quick Links and Social Media Links on individual pages
- Adding or editing the Additional Resources, Quick Links and Social Media Links site wide using the Global Widget
- Adding up to three graphical banners per site that may be used as links using the Global Widget
Regarding the global widget, if you should not find a file named widget located within your main content folder AND you wish to utilize this feature, please feel free to contact me or the webmaster@cofc.edu.
NEW SEARCH FEATURE
Also, you may have noticed beneath the Google Search box within the header on the website, the addition of CofC and Site radio buttons. By selecting the Site button and conducting a search, the results should be exclusively from the site you are searching and not the entire College website. By selecting the CofC button and conducting a search, will provide results for the entire College website.
