Joyce in CharlestonThe College of Charleston and the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Carolina will host the 2013 International James Joyce Conference.  Paper proposals on any topic related to Joyce studies will be considered for inclusion (see the “Call for Papers” in the menu bar for more information).  Tom Rice at USC will be handling the academic program, while Joe Kelly at CofC will handle local arrangements.  Contact information is located in the side bar.

The College of Charleston is located in the heart of the city of Charleston on the South Carolina coast, the site of the 1999 Joyce Conference.  Though a small city, Charleston sports many nationally-recognized restaurants, beautiful beaches, historical architecture, botanical gardens, nature preserves, kayaking, golf, etc.   In the two weeks prior to the conference, Charleston hosts its annual Spoleto World Festival, an arts festival featuring everything from Broadway plays to world-class chamber music to opera and even circus performances.
