SERVICE: Replacement of Wireless Equipment
IMPACT: Wireless network access may be intermittent in the buildings listed below during this maintenance window.
DATE: Tuesday, August 12th, 2014 and Wednesday, August 13th, 2014
OVERVIEW: On August 12th and August 13th, wireless network access may be intermittent in the following buildings:
- Marlene and Nathan Addlestone Library
- Thaddeus Street Jr. Education Center
IT will be installation new wireless equipment, providing up to IEEE 802.11ac support. IEEE 802.11ac is the latest Wi-Fi standard that improves network robustness and reliability. For an updated timeline of the wireless project, please visit http://it.cofc.edu/documents/wireless-rollout-plan.pdf.
