Local colleges and universities rank among the best in the south- WCIV

The Citadel and College of Charleston have been recognized as among the best universities in the south.

US News and World Report just put out its 2012 Best College Rankings.

The Citadel ranked 5th among regional universities in the south. The College of Charleston came in at 11 on that list. Winthrop University came in at number 21.
