FOR most performers on tour, there’s usually not much time to do anything except do the press rounds, rehearse, soundcheck and perform. And then pack up and move on to the next stop where the cycle starts all over again.
But for classical violinist Siow Lee Chin, her current Asian tour with the orchestra from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music is more than just a showcase of classical music. She’s also keeping an eye out for new young talent.
