College of Charleston political analyst Dr. Jeri Cabot, “That’s bad news for Haley is that it’s paired with the Mark Sanford story. It’s hard for her to avoid that because she’s of the same ideology as Governor Sanford, and she’s been endorsed by Jenny Sanford.“ Cabot says right now, it’s too soon to tell how much of an impact this scandal will have on voters. Cabot says, “It’s really hard to tell. I mean I think she has some strong supporters. They’re likely to turn out in a primary election regardless of what mud that seems to be out there. Again it may have an impact on primary voters who are undecided.“
