About me

Dr. Oksana P. Ingle

I am a native of St. Petersburg, Russia and have been an adjunct professor at the College since 2008, and a member of the faculty senate since 2016. My teaching interests include Russian language, literature, and cultural history. The focus of my recent research has been Russian and Finnish epics and Russian culture. I also direct the College of Charleston Russia Study Abroad program, taking students to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Saransk, and other cities for a Maymester of cultural immersion, study, and travel. In addition to 20 years of teaching Russian, I have traveled extensively in the former Soviet Union and Europe.

I also offer private Russian language instruction and interpreting services, and in 2018 I will start leading private summer tours to Russia.
