Clubs/Organizations/Interests: Julia is a member of the College of Charleston Volunteer Corps and the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). When she is not busy volunteering, Julia likes to play tennis and read. She is also an American Red Cross blood donor.
“In high school, I was what I would call an academic overachiever. I went above and beyond all assigned tasks. At the College of Charleston, I had the same expectations of myself, yet I felt more on par with my peers. It seems to be a much more competitive environment when it comes to academic excellence. In other words, I didn’t have the confidence that I could set myself apart from others and really excel. This scholarship has proven just that; I can excel, and I can set myself apart. I am so grateful for this scholarship, both financially and for what it says about me as a student.”
