Welcome to My Piazza!

Waking up was a little harder this morning in the villa, the walking is really getting the best of our newly toned legs. We spent the morning reading, chatting, and finalizing our piazza research.
The highlight of the day, however, might have been the lunch that Christina prepared for us- beautiful salad and pesto lasagna. Perhaps the most important part of lunch was the homemade gelato 🙂
We left quickly after lunch and made our way down the mountain. Andi, Nathan, Matt, and Sam each presented their piazzas and each were delightfully different!
We finished our piazza tours with some window shopping and made our way back to the villa to meet up with Silvia.
Silvia had set up a meeting for us with the men working on the roof and so they walked us through the process and materials used- We will have to come back in June to see the finished product!
Just another day in paradise!

Neat find, after leaving Nathan’s piazza, of a church distroyed in WWII. Now used as an event space

View from the roof of the villa!

One of the contractors working on the roof showing us the original chimney (Which we all agree looks like a medieval knight’s helmet).
