Nervi | Santa Margherita | Portofino

A day full of public transportation and smelly transient people, along with some pretty spectacular sights and great hiking around the coast of the Ligurian Sea.   Our trip started in the city of Nervi, a quiet little town where Hemingway used to stay and soak up some Italian sun.  We went to the Wolfsoniana Museum, which housed rad objects and other works of art from 1880-1945.  We promenaded along the boardwalk, frequently pausing to take in the sights and sip on some cocktails.  Never wanting to leave, we moved on to Santa Margherita.  We then hiked all 3000 miles (it was actually five) from Santa Margherita to Portofino. At the time it sucked, but in retrospect it was awesome.  Once in Portofino, Kate was dying for a bellini, so we set out to find one for her.  After perusing a few hot spots, the average price for one bellini was 20 euro.  So we settled for some ice cream and coffee beverages.

At the train station, after a long day of walking, we still looked fabulous

Sea-nic sights ahead @dianainthavong
