8,000 Pictures and Counting

6/10/14- Today was designated as my photo day, to make sure that I had all the photos I would need for my upcoming thesis and documentation report of the site. However, my time was cut short by a dead camera battery! We would be going back for one last visit!

Once we left Molana for the day, we made the trip to Tintern Abbey, a similar but much larger abbey to Molana. Tintern Abbey was a couple hours away, but we took a car ferry to significantly shorten our traveling time. It was interesting to see a partly ruined but partly renovated abbey to facilitate visitors.

We switched up our route on the way back from Tintern Abbey at Donna’s request and visited a new site, Dunbrody Abbey and Maze. We tried out the maze before going to the abbey. We arrived late in the day, so we only had the chance to walk around the outside of the abbey but you could still feel that it was a very large and impressive space. We just finished our tour when it really started to pour.

We went to the little seaside town of Dungarvan for dinner. We decided to go to the praised restaurant from the trip 2 years ago, Robert A. Merry Company. It was delicious and definitely worth the trip to Dungarvan. By the time dinner was done we just had the enough time to walk around the bay as the sun was setting.
