Represent CofC at the 2022 Black History Intercollegiate Consortium (BHIC) Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration

Seeking three student leaders to “speak out, show up, take action!”

Each year the Black History Intercollegiate Consortium (BHIC) hosts an event honoring the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Next year’s event is scheduled for January 18, 2022 at Charleston Southern University (in Lightsey Chapel) from 6-8 p.m.

CofC students can get involved in multiple ways:

Write and share a public reflection on Dr. King

During the event one student from each of BHIC’s member institutions has an opportunity to give a reflection on Dr. King. To be considered for this opportunity, follow the guidelines provided and complete the form linked below. Next year’s theme is “Speak Out, Show Up, Take Action!” and is inspired by a brief speech Dr. King gave in March of 1965 on courage.

Click here to apply to give CofC’s reflection. Application deadline is November 30.

Volunteer at the Event
