What: Did you know over 45 million people are currently living under the definition of slavery? International Justice Mission is the largest anti-human trafficking organization in the world, and a campus chapter is coming to the College of Charleston. IJM works to rescue and rehabilitate victims while simultaneously prosecuting offenders and training local law enforcement in combating these forms of slavery. As a campus chapter, we would work to educate our peers about the reality of modern-day slavery, advocate on behalf of the victims who cannot speak for themselves, and fund raise to help IJM continue to protect millions more people. If you are passionate about social justice and activism, check us out!
