What: Year-long research volunteer opportunity. Our research aims to understand the molecular concepts and mechanisms which underlie common cancer susceptibility. We use advanced genomic research techniques (CRISPR-Cas9) to discover risk alleles in the non-coding portion of the genome. Our research symbolizes an emerging paradigm in cancer biology and treatment; advanced genetic studies will allow prophylactic treatment before cancer arises.
