Honors Geology Course Explores Charleston Flooding Firsthand

Honors College freshmen Julia Kempton was featured in a recent Post & Courier article about the city’s tidal flooding. Julia and the rest of her classmates in Geology Professor Vijay Vulava‘s Honors Geology I course have been studying the impact that increased tidal flooding has on the downtown peninsula, and exploring possible solutions to one of Charleston’s most existential threats.
