Honors Students Compete in Wild Pitch for Social Change Entrepreneurship Contest

In November, College of Charleston hosted a Global Entrepreneurship Week, where students participated in various activities sponsored by the School of Business, the Honors College and ENACTUS. One of these events was the Wild Pitch for Social Change contest. Of 61 applicants, only eight students were selected to participate in the competition–including Mary Frances Zeager, a junior, and Michelle Smith, a senior, both members of the Honors College. Mary Frances placed second in the contest for her idea of establishing a coop among the School of Business Microfinance Club, Corpus Callosum, Sherman Capital and Meeting Street Academy for students and parents to create businesses and sell their products. Congratulations, Mary Frances and Michelle! These two are just another example of ways the Honors College engages in local and global communities.
