CofC students can participate by taking part in a 4-day workshop with Smith titled “Performing History.” In this weeklong evening workshop with Roger Guenveur Smith students will be encouraged to use archival and other historical materials to create new work for the stage. Interdisciplinary collaborations are encouraged. The workshop will conclude with an open public rehearsal of the student-created pieces. Students will work from 7-10pm on January 10-13, 2011 with Mr. Smith and each other. Note: Students will complete the historical/archival research before the workshop begins.
