Dr. Jason Coy delivered the annual Malcolm Lester Lecture at Davidson College on September 22, 2010. His lecture, entitled “Banishment and Exclusion in Sixteenth-Century Germany,” based upon his recent book, Strangers and Misfits: Banishment, Social Control, and Authority in Early Modern Germany (2008), will examine the role of judicial expulsion in enforcing social exclusion during the Reformation.
