Graduate Education Week Coming in March

charleston graduate schoolThe second annual Graduate Education Week is almost here, and we have packed the week with events to give prospective students an overview of what a graduate education really is and how it can benefit you.

Career Advancement Workshop

On Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in room 205 of the Stern Center, the graduate school and the Career Center are hosting a “Career Advancement Workshop.” At this workshop, attendees will learn the most in-demand skills employers are searching for in potential hires. It’s an opportunity to learn if you are really prepared for life after graduation in the workplace. And, we’ll go over ways to master these skills to make yourself a more desirable candidate. Needless to say, this workshop is extremely valuable for undergraduate juniors and seniors who are starting to contemplate life after college.

Cougar Mall Tabling Event

Curious as to what graduate programs are offered at the College of Charleston? Wondering what the admission requirements are? Do you have questions about prerequisites? Maybe you’re curious as to the difference between an MPA and an MBA. Whatever questions you have about the University of Charleston, South Carolina, you can find the answers in Cougar Mall on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Representatives from every graduate program at the College will be on hand. Come meet and mingle with the graduate school.

Poster Session

On Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Stern Ballroom the graduate school will be hosting our annual Poster Session. Current graduate students present their internships, capstones, thesis or other research project in hopes of winning one of the cash prizes. There is a winner for first and second place, as well as a people’s choice. So, we encourage everyone to attend the poster session to cast their vote whomever impressed them the most with their presentation. This is the perfect opportunity to learn what our graduate students are doing, and I promise you will not be disappointed.
