Executive MPA Program Ranked as One of the Best Values in the Country

executive mpaValue Colleges has ranked the new Executive MPA program at the College of Charleston as one of the Top 25 Best Value Executive MPA programs in the country. For Value Colleges, “best value” does not simply mean the cheapest. The company realizes that the value of an MPA lies in the education and experiences that you receive. To be a great value to a student, the program has to properly prepare you for a rewarding career as well as help to facilitate job placement after graduation. For this reason, Value Colleges analyzes data from four factors to determine their rankings:

  • Average alumni salary
  • Tuition
  • Niche student reviews
  • US News & World Report public affairs ranking

These four criteria are equally weighted to determine which Executive MPA program is the best value for prospective students, and, based on these factors, the College of Charleston is ranked at 20. We are honored to have been included in this list from Value Colleges, especially considering this is the inaugural year of our Executive MPA program.

What is an Executive MPA?

An executive MPA program is tailored to accommodate the schedules of working professionals. Being an advanced degree, it is logical that many of the students are currently employed and would find it difficult to attend classes on a regular basis. At College of Charleston, we do not want a lack of free time to be the thing that prevents you from earning a master’s degree and advancing your career. As such, we have launched the Executive MPA format, which is a hybrid of online and in-person classes. The classes meet on Saturdays, typically one Saturday per month, at our North Campus location. Also, instead of juggling three classes each semester, you only take one course every eight weeks.
