Since my last post, February has come and gone and March is almost over as well. My how time flies! During that time, life has been busier than ever. Spring break is over and midterms are nearing an end. The weather is finally getting warm and you can see tons of people sunbathing on Marian Square.

As each semester gets closer and closer to ending, things seem to get more and more hectic. There are exams, papers are due, and planning for the following semester commences. I have signed up for classes for next semester and am in the process of securing an internship as well. There is a lot left to get done and little more than a month left to do it.

Outside, things are really heating up! The weather is beginning to get warmer; we just experienced a beautiful Saturday in the high seventies. Everyone was out enjoying the day; it was sunny and clear with a light breeze. There were tons of people shopping in the market and many others who were enjoying ice cold drinks and light food at outside tables in the local restaurants.

There have been many things going on with the clubs and association on the College of Charleston Campus, as well. The MESSA just finished an 8K race that they had been planning for months. It was a big success! The CofC Belly Dance club held auditions for their performing group, which I got a spot on, and are planning a spring performance for April 2 at 8:00pm in the Stern Center Gardens. If you’re in the area feel free to check it out! You’ll get a taste of the traditional Middle Eastern dancing as well as solos, veils, Bollywood, and fire dancing.

That’s all for now, stay tuned for my next post about graduate school, the CofC, and life in Charleston, SC.
