November 10 – Winthrop Roundtable with Richard Norton Smith
Monday, November 9th, 2009Author, speechwriter and renowned scholar of American history, Richard Norton Smith will discuss the relationship between Herbert Hoover and Franklin D. Roosevelt, telling anecdotes of their friendly-turned-competitive relationship. Mr. Smith will also discuss the similarities – and differences – between the political and economic climates that both FDR and Barack Obama entered upon their elections.
