Prof. Eichelberger talks about Eudora Welty at Mississippi Book Festival

On Saturday, August 22, the Mississippi Book Festival will take place in and around the state capitol building in Jackson, MS. Dr. Julia Eichelberger is honored to be among those talking about Mississippi and its writers during this event. She’ll be part of one panel called “Margaret Walker Alexander, Eudora Welty, and the Making of Literary Jackson” and another called “Eudora Welty: Letters, Flowers, Loves, and the Latest Scholarship.” The Welty panel is one of several from the festival that are scheduled to be broadcast live on C-SPAN. Dr. Eichelberger’s recent book of letters by Welty, Tell About Night Flowers: Eudora Welty’s Gardening Letters, 1940-1949, is due out in paperback any day now–hopefully in time for the festival!
