The Terrace Theater to Host Special Screenings of the Toni Morrison Documentary, “The Pieces I Am”

The Terrace Theater will be screening, on two occasions, the recent documentary on the life of Toni Morrison, entitled Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am. Directed by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders (The Black Lists I-IIIThe Latino ListThe Out List), the film chronicles the life and work of one of the most celebrated American writers of our time. Toni Morrison, who passed away in June of this year, was a Pulitzer Prize winning author, teacher, and essayist. Her best-known novels, The Bluest EyeSula, Beloved, and Jazz, are among the greatest works of African-American literature.

The screenings will be held Sunday, September 15 at 2:30pm and again on Tuesday, September 17, at 7:00pm. Stay tuned for updates about a potential collaboration between the Terrace Theater and the Film Studies Program.
