Instead of focusing just on musical performances themselves, I think I’m going to examine the audiences as well. I think it would be interesting to observe the dynamic between the music or musician and the type of audience and how they react to certain types of music.

I am considering exploring live music performed in charleston, anything from concerts, to bars, to street corner performances. I may focus on the jazz scene specifically. Still thinking though.

I’m thinking about researching experimental composers and performers with the criteria that they are under forty, that they live in, or have recently been living in Charleston, SC, and that they have been active within the last six or seven months.
