– Notebook, writing journal

– Clothing that you can layer and easily re-wear (there are laundry facilities at the villa)

– One “nice” or slightly dressy outfit (needed for our night at the artists’ salon in Florence)

– Good, comfortable walking shoes (that enclose the entire foot!)

– A multi-purpose jacket (water resistant wind breaker with removable fleece layer)

– A small backpack, daypack, or handbag

– Reusable water bottle

– Watch / travel alarm clock

Secure passport holder/wallet
