What is Degree Works?

Degree Works is a web-based degree audit application and academic advisement tool that provides a clear and convenient method for students  and advisors to track degree progress. It is intended to assist students in reaching their academic goals and achieving a better understanding of degree requirements. 

Where Can I Find Degree Works?

Students and their advisors have access to Degree Works via their MyCharleston portal account.

  • Accepted students who have paid their deposit: Degree Works is located on the Academic Services tab in MyCharleston.
  • Accepted students who have not paid their deposit: Degree Works is located on the Admissions Status tab in MyCharleston.
  • Faculty/Staff:  Degree Works is located on the Advising tab in MyCharleston.

Where Can I Access Additional Resources for Navigating Degree Works?

Degree Works support resources (procedure manual, quick guides, FAQ, etc.) are located on the Help and Training tab in MyCharleston.  The Degree Works Help and Training channel also contains a link for our Open Labs schedule. Open Labs provide an informal setting for Degree Works users to drop-in and meet with a Degree Works team member to troubleshoot specific questions/issues they may be experiencing with Degree Works.  You do not need a reservation to attend an Open Lab.
