Position Summary: (This is a paid internship.) TRIO is a marketing-communications firm in Mount Pleasant, SC looking for a passionate and motivated student for our social media internship. This internship is designed to provide an immersive educational experience through active training and participation. This role is responsible for assisting the social media department in work for TRIO and its clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule posts for clients on all social media platforms
- Research and reciprocate client-specific business and industry trends
- Set up and monitor Google Alerts for all relevant accounts
- Collaborate with team members on relevant projects and tasks
- Moderate and engage with key audiences on the client’s behalf to promote growth
- Create visual content libraries (i.e. images, animated gifs, etc.) that support the brand
- Utilize platform tools to monitor and analyze social media activity
- Brainstorm ideas for client social media content and an enhanced presence
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Experience with and passion for social media
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with leading social media channels (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
- Knowledge of social media advertising and platform analytics tools
- Proficient in Business Manager, Hootsuite, Canva and platform-specific available tools
- Understanding of GSuite and Microsoft Office software
- Ability to work as an individual and a team member
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Organized with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Resourceful self-starter who takes initiative in projects and goes the extra mile!
- *Experience filming or editing video is a plus
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate junior or senior majoring in related field
- Interns must be able to commit to a schedule of 10-20 hours/week
Compensation and Benefits:
- $10 / hour
- All major holidays are observed
- Access to American Marketing Association events
