Spinx: Seeking Social Media Coordinator

Type of Employment:  Full-Time

Base Pay:  $40,000.00 – $60,000.00 / Year

Position Description:  The Social Media Coordinator manages all social media accounts for Spinx, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. Creates engaging content and posts regularly to all networks. Responds to all comments and messages and directs inquiries accordingly. Generates ideas for contests, polls, trivia, etc. to encourage interaction and engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Produces regular reviews of audience engagement and insights.

  • Monitors social media activity pertinent to the Spinx brand and c-store industry and tracks customer comments, feedback and messages.

  • Manages the company website. Actively seeks to create content and maintain fresh pages. Adds promotions, news and seasonal content as necessary. Provides lead reporting and web analytics for executive leadership teams. Works cooperatively with the Director of Marketing and web developers to identify and make changes to existing websites; works collaboratively as part of a team during redesigns.

  • Works closely with IT to manage the Spinx Mobile App.

  • Responsible for the design of some internal and external materials including but not limited to print advertisements, flyers, newsletters, graphic displays, PowerPoint presentations and brochures.

  • Works closely with marketing team to create, launch and optimize all digital marketing campaigns (email, display advertising, social, etc.).

  • Plan, strategize, and compose our company email blasts to include an internal newsletter and the external newsletter to loyalty club members.

  • Conducts market research to analyze competition and new digital marketing strategies that would benefit our brands.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements: 

  • 2+ years of experience developing social media creative, editing copy, and engaging with an audience

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field

  • Thorough understanding of the creative process

  • Familiar with analytic/management tools such as Sprout Social (or similar)

  • Extensive knowledge of social media best practices

  • Ability to manage and prioritize and multitask

  • Knowledgeable and experienced with SEO optimization

  • Experience with Mail Chimp, HubSpot, Real Magnet, or similar

  • Knowledge of and experience with SurveyMonkey

  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint

  • Familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat; Premiere Pro and After Effects experience are a plus

  • 1-2 Years graphic design work experience a plus
