on RiverDogs, the South Atlantic League Minor League Baseball affiliate of the New York Yankees, are looking to fill several internships for the 2018 season.
Full-Time Internship Opportunities
The RiverDogs offer several full-time internships, which start in mid-March and go through the end of August. These are unpaid positions, which can be completed for college credit. These internships are designed to provide interns with insight into the entire scope of a minor league baseball operation.
Departmental Internships
The RiverDogs hire a number of interns into hands-on positions throughout the operation; the internships pair students with full-time staff members. Each intern will be exposed to all aspects of the operation, including a focus on ticket sales, yet will focus most effort on one of the following departments:
• Merchandise Internship
• Promotions/Fan Experience Internship
• Community Relations/Customer Service Internship
• Ticket Services/Box Office Internship
• Social Media/Marketing Internship
• Video Production Internship
• Operations Internship
• Graphic Design/Creative Services Internship
Learning Objectives
• Improve customer service skills
• Introduction to ticket sales & promotion
• Gain experience in planning promotional nights, special events
• Understand overall operation, workings of professional sports organization
• Help coordinate grassroots marketing & community relations push
