Regan Communications Group: Seeking TWO Remote Communications Interns (Fall 2020)

Dates:  Fall 2020 (start date is September 7; application deadline is August 28)

Hours:  15-20 hours per week, flexible to choose schedule between the hours of 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (M-F)

Position Description:  Regan Communications – Charleston is seeking TWO fall communications interns to work directly with the Manager of RCG – Charleston. This opportunity will provide important PR, business and marketing skills, relationship building, understanding the news cycle and pitching stories, skills in social media strategy, creative ideation and bringing forth best ideas, time management and critical decision-making skills.

In addition, this opportunity requires two skilled interns to work closely together for the greater good of the agency and clientele showing high initiative, drive and work autonomy.

Responsibilities:  

  • Create content, maintain and manage the social media pages for the Regan CHS Instagram and FB pages
  • Help with content creation and innovative strategies to increase and sustain engagement on client social media pages
  • Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness for both agency and client pages
  • Assist with client prospecting and new business opportunities by providing research and having a pulse on the area
  • Manage and update regularly our media spreadsheet with editors, assignment editors, producers, and more
  • Admin for Public Relations campaign initiatives
  • Involvement in creative brainstorming sessions
  • Help generate content for press release/media alerts
  • Generate content for PR blog posts for our corporate page
  • Collaborate with other agency team members in our Boston and New York offices for additional support opportunities

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and scheduling systems such as Hootsuite.
  • Communications, PR or Marketing major preferred
  • You do not have to be a current college student, but we do ask that you are available for the duration of the internship August – December, 2020. Opportunity to extend into 2021
