Development Office Intern – Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars

The Development Office of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC, seeks an intern who can commit approximately 35 hours per week for the Summer term. This position requires for interns to maintain professional written and verbal contact with donors, members of the Board, and distinguished Wilson Center staff and scholars. This position also requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects and deadlines. A background in communications, foreign policy, events management, and working with nongovernmental organizations is preferred.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be a current undergraduate/graduate school student or recent graduate (within one calendar year), or accepted to enter into an advanced degree program. Non-degree students are ineligible.
  • The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 requires employers to hire only individuals who are eligible to work in the United States. An individual selected for a paid internship will be expected to present proper evidence (as stipulated on the Form I-9) establishing employability prior to being appointed.
  • International students are eligible, but must have a valid F-1 or J-1 visa and a work authorization letter, I-20 form, or DS-2019 form.
