Position Description: (This is a paid internship.) We are seeking a Communications & HR Intern for our Microbial site located Charleston.
Responsibilities:
- Communications
- Refresh weekly site newsletter (content and design)
- Provide background research on site communications initiatives
- Create content for on-site digital signage
- Assist in planning and promoting internal celebrations and events
- Work with international team members to gather photography for use in internal communications
- Support executives’ presence on internal social media, Yammer
- Assist in developing content for global newsletter
- Create a backlog of employee spotlights
- Human Resources
- Match all current positions with an updated job description
- Work with managers to create job descriptions for roles established through promotion
- Ensure compliance of all Job Profile folders
- Assist with College Recruiting strategy for the 2020 Fall season
Minimum Qualifications:
- Student currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing or related area of study
- Completion of Sophomore year
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Ability to fulfill a minimum of a 10 week internship within May/June – July/August time period
- Effective communication and listening skills in a teamwork environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with a strong attention to detail
