Grey Ghost Bakery is looking for a qualified intern to join our marketing/advertising team. Our marketing department produces quality work for GGB, and seeks an intern who can participate in various stages of print and online marketing campaigns, help out with sales, and gather data on retailers. This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation of mock ups, e-mail campaigns, online promotions, etc.
  • Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials.
  • Assist with fulfillment of orders.
  • Assist with the preparation of training materials.
  • Perform analysis of marketing and sales data.
  • Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials both on and offline.
  • Open and sort mail.
  • Filing of orders, invoices, documents, etc.
  • Enter contact information into contact management systems.
  • Provide support to social media efforts.
  • Maintain tracking report of public relations activity.

Requirements

Grey Ghost Bakery is looking for an undergraduate student who is majoring in Communication, Sales, Marketing or Advertising. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web and social media. PowerPoint, Word and Excel experience is a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position. Looking for 15 hours a week and must have transportation to our offices on James Island.

PR Internship with The Public Theater

THE PUBLIC THEATER is looking for a highly-motivated and organized Press Intern with an interest in theater public relations and communications. We are seeking a full-time weekly commitment beginning May 2019 with some select evenings and weekends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collecting, recording, and distributing all media coverage pertaining to The Public Theater including the exciting Shakespeare in the Park summer productions
  • Support Press Team in coordinating media interviews, photo calls, b-roll shoots, and rehearsal photos
  • Assists with opening night events—including photographer registration, pre and post-show celebrity arrivals, and onsite interviews and photo opportunities with key party attendees
  • Aids the Press Managers and Director of Communications with scheduling press seats for all Public Theater shows and sending reminders and digital press kits
  • Additional duties include assistance with editing and organizing information for show Playbills and proofreading press releases and other materials
  • Responsible for media ticketing and fulfilling some house seat orders
  • Monitors social media and theater website chat for daily Industry trends
  • Researching past press coverage of relevant productions and assembling final show press packets
  • Uploading contacts to Cision database and researching new outlets
  • Maintains the media archives of past productions at The Public

REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player with previous office experience, specifically interested in a career of theatrical press and communications. Must be proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Tessitura ticketing experience and Cision is a plus.

Overview

The City of Atlanta Department of Public Works takes great pride in the internship program offered each summer to college students. Annually, we dispose of residential garbage, manage the city’s roadways and infrastructure projects for 1.5 million residents and a thriving business community. Selected Interns are engaged with entry-level work assignments to gain experiential learning that includes problem-solving, technology integration and critical thinking. We are actively seeking summer interns. Should you meet the minimum qualifications, skills, and abilities listed herein, we invite you to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

  • An applicant must be currently attending a college, university, community college or technical institute.

  • Applicants must be able to provide a transcript within 24 hours of granting an interview and be able to supply a certified copy upon receiving an offer for hire.
  • Students must have completed their first year of college before beginning the internship.
  • Students must be continuing their education in the fall following their participation in the program (rising Sophomores, rising Juniors, and rising Seniors)
