General Description:

The KION Group – encompassing the seven brands of Linde, STILL, Fenwick, OM STILL, Baoli, Voltas and Dematic – is a global leader in material handling. Located in Summerville, SC, KION North America Corporation (KNA) is the responsible entity for serving the markets of USA, Canada and Mexico. Our organization is looking for a Product Management Intern, to assist with department operations. The Product Management Intern will assist in planning training sessions, establishing product documentation, developing product launch procedures, gathering information on competitive products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in establishing product documentation
  • Analyze competitor data and establish spread sheets with comparative information
  • Contribute to product launch preparation
  • Create pricing spread sheets
  • Assist in planning dealer meeting for product launch
  • Manage product information questionnaire
  • Help create engaging, effective product training content.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Sound interpersonal skills, ability to work independently as well as in team environment
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program.

Sporting News PAID Internship

We are seeking ambitious, motivated, and creative multimedia sports reporters and social content producers for a paid internship from February-July 2019 in our Charlotte, N.C. office.

Sporting News interns should expect to be involved in all aspects of content creation, from pitching ideas to managing the brand social media accounts. Interns will also gain experience shaping breaking news coverage, writing and editing, and developing SEO best practices.

  • Have the ability to work smart and fast in a digital environment.
  • Know how to write clean, concise and interesting content in a variety of digital formats.

NASA is accepting applications for interns for Summer 2019. The internships are competitive awards to support educational opportunities that provide unique NASA-related research and operational experiences for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, as well as educators. These opportunities serve students by integrating interns with career professionals emphasizing mentor-directed, degree-related tasks, while contributing to the operation of a NASA facility or the advancement of NASA’s missions.

Deadline to apply: April 1, 2019

Applicant Criteria:

  • GPA – 3.0 at the time of application
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Will be required to show proof of US citizenship if selected for an internship.
  • Accepted to or enrolled full-time in an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • 16 years of age or older by the date that the internship begins.
  • Letter of recommendation to be submitted on your application to intern.nasa.gov.

Starting and ending dates for high school and college/graduate students:

High School: June 24, 2019 – August 2, 2019
College: June 3, 2019 – August 9, 2019

Summer Stipend amount for high school college, and graduate students:

High School (6 weeks): $2400
College Undergrad (10 weeks): $7300

General Statement of Job

Under the supervision of the Disability:IN SC Lowcountry board, the Marketing Services Intern will provide marketing services for a few events, assist in monitoring, updating, and communicating through our social media platforms, promote information about the Disability:IN SC Lowcountry and solicit information to businesses for additional members.  This individual would attend internal board meetings to gather marketing requirements, and assist in: developing a marketing communication plan; designing marketing pieces; preparing press releases; updating web site pages and other social media outlets; and researching and finalizing sponsorship opportunities.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Example of Duties:

  • Gather marketing requirements for upcoming programs and events through consistent interaction with the Disability:IN SC Lowcountry board
  • Assist with the development of marketing communication through our social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Linked In as well as on our website
  • Identify research and qualify potential sponsors, partners, etc.
  • Utilizing the existing member database reach out to these businesses to promote Disability:IN SC Lowcountry.  At the same time, seek out other businesses to add to our potential member database with a goal of 50 new potential member contacts
  • Seek out grant opportunities that may be appropriate for the promotion of disability inclusion in the workplace
  • Assist with creative designing, development and production of a variety of agency-wide materials, including informational and educational brochures, newsletters, reports, flyers, and other promotional materials to be distributed to the public
  • Participate in the writing and distribution of news releases on all Disability:IN SC Lowcountry programs and special events to media outlets including local and regional print media, television and radio stations
  • Work with the board to develop and maintain information on the agency’s website

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to follow instructions effectively and to work with supervision in a responsible and competent manner
  • Ability to accept directions from those in a supervisory capacity; to be able to accept constructive criticism and to project outstanding, positive public relations
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the Disability:IN SC Lowcountry board
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, in oral and written form
  • Ability to generate required work on a timely basis, with a high degree of accuracy, in proper format
  • Knowledge of social media practices
  • Ability to generate and research business membership and sponsorship leads

Minimum Training and Experience

A student with experience in marketing, communication, journalism, English or a related field.

Working Conditions and Physical Abilities

A flexible schedule may be established for this internship, however attendance at our monthly board meetings will be considered mandatory.
