Interns at Phase 3 are an integral part of our day-to-day activities. This internship is a hands-on look at a public relations agency and interns will gain first-hand experience in social media and the world of public relations. Interns at Phase 3 will perform a variety of tasks, which include the following:
- Conducting market research
- Drafting social media content
- Obtaining social media research
- Writing press releases, pitch letters, website copy, newsletters, bios and calendar listings for our clients
- Assisting in planning client events
- Compiling and maintaining a master list of editorial calendars
- Reading and scanning newspapers, magazines and the web for articles containing our clients
- Updating and maintaining client editorial recaps
- Building and updating media databases
- Attending and assisting at client events
- Contributing to team brainstorming sessions
- Attending client meetings
- Attending photo shoots and TV tapings
Requirements: Students must be a junior or senior and commit 20 hours a week to our internship.

The Johns Island News, an online news source for residents of the Charleston suburb of Johns Island, which is planning to launch on January 1, 2017, is offering unpaid internships for upperclassmen journalism and communications students. Interns will serve as part-time reporters covering local events, news stories, politics, sports, profiles on Johns Island residents and business owners, and helping to organize the classified section.
This will be a great opportunity to get hands-on experience as a journalist.
The students must have reliable transportation, a laptop, a flexible schedule, the ability to meet a deadline, and willingness to go the extra mile for a successful story.

The Palmetto Christian Academy in Mount Pleasant is currently looking for a sport’s announcer for basketball games this winter. The games would run from November 29–February 4 with around 2 home games per week. The purpose of this internship is to give an undergraduate college student relevant, real-world experience in the world of play-by-play sports announcing and writing.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning the Post and Courier newspaper is seeking applications for its paid summer internship program.
The Post and Courier is looking for talented students or very recent graduates to spend 10 weeks working in the Post and Courier newsroom as a temporary full-time reporter, photographer/videographer, page designer/copy editor, data journalist or newsroom developer. We will accept three to four interns and encourage applicants from all walks of life to apply.
