The Department of Communication is seeking an intern to assist the communication coordinator in event planning, writing for the web, updating websites and managing social media accounts. The applicant should be a communication major and should have strong writing skills and be familiar with using different types of social media.
The internship will be for the Fall 2016 semester, with the possibility to extend for the full academic year. It is a paid position — $8.50 an hour. We are seeking an intern for 10 hours per week and the schedule is flexible based on academic schedule (approximately 15 work weeks in the fall semester).

The Communications office for the American Red Cross in Charleston is looking for fall interns. Interns will gain real-world experience in all aspects of communications. Past interns responded in times of crisis such as during the historic floods in Charleston in October 2015 and the Emmanuel 9 in summer 2015.
