Social Media Intern & Media Relations Intern Wanted

The Becket Agency is looking for two interns:a social media intern and a media relations intern

All interns would work closely with their brand manager but focus on a topic of their interest.

CofC Dining Services Marketing Intern: start date ASAP!

CofC Dining Services marketing intern will

  • Assists the Marketing Manager in driving participation, traffic and sales in residential and retail locations through development and execution of events and promotions, working with food service staffs to insure implementation, and the post-activity analysis.
  • Acts as an ambassador for Dining Services by participation in dining events and meal plan and declining balance campaigns,  helping to conduct secret shops and focus groups; providing general, informal solicitation of student feedback; and supporting the business office.
  • Creates and maintains a content calendar by integrating Aramark’s goals; developing a strategy that is clear, concise, and meaningful; implementing measurable programs; and working closely with Aramark’s marketing leadership.
  • Conducts research for various projects throughout the academic year, including data collection regarding traffic patterns, competitive analysis, catering, and retail, customer service surveys, intercept surveys, and DiningStyles surveys.

 

This is a paid internship that will run from August – December with the possibility to extend through Spring semester.

The American Red Cross of Lowcountry SC is looking for volunteer public affairs interns.  Interns in this position will learn different aspects of the public affairs team, while working with incredible people.  You will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Red Cross and what we do. Plus, you’ll be making a difference in the community while gaining valuable experience.

Responsibilities could include:

Job Description: Benefit Administrator/Applications Consultant

  • Communicate daily with clients that are utilizing an online benefits enrollment application
  • Provide assistance with benefits explanations for multiple clients, (prior medical insurance/medicaid/medicare experience strongly preferred)
  • Provide continuous support to clients
  • Manage client relationships with HR Administrators that support up to two thousand employees
  • Assist clients by phone and email to help them understand regular updates made to applications
  • Report software issues to the Engineering team as they arise
  • Provide an accurate timeframe for issue resolution to clients daily
  • Prioritize tasks and keep a continuous relationship with insurance carriers, clients and internal resources
  • Respond to email requests from clients regarding employee coverage, policy cancellations and policy renewals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Candidates must value working as part of a team and providing ongoing anticipatory service
  • Candidates must be able to manage and prioritize multiple clients’ needs simultaneously
  • Strong problem solving and follow-up skills
  • Proficient in MS office applications — Excel, Word, etc.
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced and innovative work environment
  • Call center experience is preferred but not required

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, 8:30am – 5:30pm, 9:00am – 6:00pm, 10am-7pm, 11:00am – 8:00pm OR 12pm-9pm (candidates need to be flexible)

The Charleston Gaillard Center is seeking volunteer ushers for events beginning in October 2015. Comprised of community members who generously donate their time and efforts, The Charleston Gaillard Center’s Volunteer Usher Corps is a valued and critical part of event operations in both the Martha and John Rivers Performance Hall and the Exhibition Hall.
Ushers must be at least 18 years of age and will be required to successfully undergo a background check and training session prior to working their first shift.
