Social Media Manager at The Finicky Filly

The Finicky Filly, a women’s wear clothing store on King Street, is looking a Social Media Manager. This Manager would also be in charge of the social media for their sister store, The Haute Hanger.
Duties include managing and taking photos for…
– Instagram accounts
– Facebook accounts
– House Account
– Constant Contact
– Write and post a weekly blog for The Finicky Filly
-Take photos, pick, and announce winner for Eloise’s Picture of the Week
Also will need to..
– Organize events for The Finicky Filly by reaching out to groups/organizations in the community (roughly once a month) and also contacting the local media about the events
– Create/design “thank you cards” , birthday cards/gift certificates, coupons for both stores, and invitation to monthly events
– Update customer profile sheets into the computer as they come in

Editor-in-Chief of the Miscellany Literary and Art Journal
This is a paid position requiring about 15 hours per week. The Editor-in-Chief of Miscellany is primarily responsible for the selection, training and supervision of all paid staff and volunteer staff members, oversight for all Miscellany products and events and the production of the journal.
Miscellany is the College’s student-produced literary and art journal. Students are invited to submit their original artwork, poetry, photography and prose for consideration for inclusion in the publication. A committee comprised of individuals selected by the editor-in-chief will meet during the beginning of the fall and spring semesters to select works for publication inMiscellany. General Manager of CisternYard Public Relations
This is a paid position requiring about 15 hours per week. The Public Relations Manager is primarily responsible for the supervision of the public relations and marketing efforts for CisternYard Media. General Manager of CisternYard Radio
This is a paid position requiring about 20 hours a week. The General Manager of CisternYard Radio is primarily responsible for the selection, training and supervision of all paid staff and volunteer staff members, the coordination of radio programming efforts and oversight for all CisternYard Radio products and events.  CisternYard Radio provides the College of Charleston community with independent music and programming. CYR can be heard via the Internet at The station broadcasts 24 hours each day, 12 of those hours include a disc jockey manning the studio and the other 12 are managed by an automated system. All disc jockeys are expected to undergo thorough training before they are allowed to operate the equipment. Each disc jockey is required to host at least an hour-long program each week, and participate in planning committees, general meetings, programming, promotions, forms and evaluations throughout the year. Planned Parenthood Health Systems, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated, responsible, outgoing, creative, pro-choice person with political experience to lead the organization’s field organizing in SC. The Field Director (referred to as Director from here on out) will work closely with the Vice President of Public Affairs and contract lobbyist to conduct strategic, targeted grassroots field campaigns and programs while building capacity and infrastructure.  The Director will identify and organize a new generation of members and supporters, educating them about the politics of women’s health care, and building a powerful organization that will support the goals of PP to ensure that all women have access to the health services they require. The Field Director is responsible for planning and coordinating all PP field activities in coordination with and in support of our legislative and electoral goals in coordination with other departments across the organization as well as with the various SC coalitions.  Proficiency in targeted grassroots field organizing and online grassroots communication is a must.

Charleston Weddings editorial internship program description: 
The Charleston Weddings editorial internship is a competitive opportunity to hone and practice your journalistic skills by working first-hand on an editorial team. The program coordinates with the production of one of our three annual issues, so the intern has the chance to work on an issue of the magazine from start to finish. This includes a good deal of writing, editing, and handling general administrative work (for the print publication,, along with our blog,, as well as helping out with social media and at least one fashion photo shoot.
The internship is unpaid and requires a minimum of 16-20 hours per week. We are looking for someone with strong skills and experience in proofing and copy editing (in adherence to both AP and Chicago Style); solid feature writing skills; and managerial capabilities. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and an enthusiasm for the subject matter are preferred.

  • We will vet our applicants to select 20 – 30 students to attend our PN Preview Event on Tuesday, March 4, where they’ll have the opportunity to visit our office and meet some of our colleagues. Charleston 40 Tour Guide Association

Did you love your College of Charleston tour? Then you should consider applying to be a Charleston 40 tour guide! Not only will you get to share your love for CofC with high school students making that tough decision about where to attend college, you’ll get great leadership experience, enhance your public speaking skills, and enjoy the social and professional events of the organization each semester.

Applications will be available at the front desk of the Office of Admissions beneath Craig Hall starting on Monday, January 27th.
