Intern at The Reynolds Group

The Reynolds Group, a food and lifestyle PR agency in Charleston, is looking for interns for the current spring or upcoming summer semester. If you’re interested in a hands-on internship in an agency setting with some of Charleston’s most renowned chefs, restaurants and businesses, TRG can offer great experience!

Expectation of hours/days worked:

Interns are expected to work at least 20 hours a week, but can design their own weekly schedule.

Skill sets we’re looking for:

We are looking for an outgoing, motivated individual that’s ready to dive in head first. You should have strong writing skills, familiarity with social media, and be creative, driven and most of all—hungry!

As a former CofC comm student and TRG intern- I know the benefit of obtaining hands on experience working with social media, participating in client brainstorms, drafting pitches, press releases, building press kits, managing press hits and observing the industry from the inside out.

Teach for America

Teach for America is a non-profit that is working to end educational inequity by recruiting outstanding college graduates, from all majors, to teach for two years in low-income communities. If you’d like to learn more, here’s a short video describing the organization:

Virtual Internship at brick + LANE

Brick+Lane, a boutique marketing communications firm is looking for spring interns to join our team. Social Media interns must be able to create dynamic content for Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter. Editorial interns must have awesome writing(blogging) and pitching skills!
This is a virtual internship that is open to all students. Communication will occur via email, Skype and phone. The Modern Connection Internship

The Modern Connection is looking to bring in one or two interns for the rest of this semester with the possibility of the internship going through the summer.

They are looking for junior or senior level students that have strong writing skills, and a decent grasp on marketing. TMC offers a stipend at the end of the semester but prefers the student receive credit for their internship. The ideal commitment is 10-15 hours per week.

ROAR Scholars Program Peer Mentor

The ROAR Scholars Program will be accepting applications for the position of peer mentor (success coach) for the Fall 2014 – Spring 2015 academic school year. Our mentors work one on one with our students in the areas of academic support, study skills, time management, student development, cultural enrichment and just living healthier lives. If you are a trained peer educator, Safe Zone ally or a student who seeks an opportunity to get involved with a campus support program that is making waves in the areas of retention and academic success of its students then we are the program for you.
If interested please submit a cover letter, application, at least one letter of recommendation (preferably two letters) to the ROAR Scholars Program Office at 25 St. Phillips Street, 207 Education Center.
The Deadline to apply for the peer mentor position is March 14, 2014.

The organization is looking for an intern to establish and execute a marketing plan to promote two major projects, including their spring oyster roast that generates significant revenue for Fields to Families.
