CFD Grants
Application deadlines for CFD Grants:
- March 15 for activities to be conducted from July –December of same calendar year
- October 31 for activities to be conducted from January-June of next calendar year
- Should one of these dates fall on a weekend, the deadline is extended to the following Monday.
What and how to submit:
Part 1: The Grant Application Cover Sheet ( see below). Either email to daviss@cofc.edu or print out and send one (1) copy to Sara Davis, 86 Wentworth Street. Application cover sheet may be handwritten or typed.
Part 2: One (1) copy of the grant proposal (and any pertinent documentation) described below the cover sheet can be emailed or campus mailed in the same way.Center for Faculty Development (copy and paste in word processing document)

Part 2: GRANT PROPOSAL
Provide a detailed proposal of no more than 500 words outlining your project and how your participation will directly affect your teaching and/or curriculum development. How will you, your teaching, and your students benefit from this experience?
If the application is for a presentation, also include the following information
- A copy of your submitted proposal for a conference presentation
- A copy of the letter of acceptance or other documentation from sponsoring agency
- If the application is to attend a conference, also include the following information
- The conference URL containing program and costs, or
- The conference brochure or program including cost
- Include an itemized budget for the project
- Type your name and date in the footer of the document so that it appears on every page
Activities not currently funded:
- Research in the discipline that is not related to enhancement of pedagogy
- Support salaries for student or clerical work
- Support salaries for faculty to update or create syllabi
- Equipment or hardware purchases
- Materials to maintain or expand an existing departmental collection
- Program expenses that are departmental responsibilities
- Courses for academic degree programs
- Requests for less than $50
Activities for which complete application materials have not been submitted
Applications that are incomplete
