Robert Foster Cherry Award for Great Teaching

“Nominations are now open for the prestigious Cherry Award–at $200,000, the largest single award presented to an individual for great teaching. Nominees for the Cherry Award should be professors in the English-speaking world with a proven record as distinguished scholars and extraordinary teachers. Three finalists, announced in spring 2009, will recieve $15,000, and their home departments will recieve $10,000. In the fall of 2009, each finalist will present a lecture series at Baylor University.
