Baseball Club Hosts First Ever Home Game

You have to hand it to club captain Jacob Anders.  Close to two years ago he walked into the Campus Recreation Services office with a dream.  He played high school baseball and wanted a chance to do this in college so he would tackle this huge task to create a club from scratch.  Not only that but he had no field to play baseball either.  Undaunted he made small gains here and there and finally this year a club team materialized.  The fun was only beginning.  There were now associations to join, uniforms to buy, fields to rent, paperwork, and more.  He came this far, why stop now?

Come cheer on our new club team as they take on Wofford University this weekend out in Summerville.  A story this good needs a happy ending and that is where you come in.  Get your carpool together and head on out for a true American game.  Hope to see you there!
