On March 6 the Office of Government Relations and the Office of the President hosted a reception in honor of the members of the South Carolina General Assembly and their staffs. The event served as an opportunity for the College to show its appreciation for our state’s elected officials and the support they provide the College.
President Benson, along with several members of the Board of Trustees and College staff, traveled to the Palmetto Club in Columbia for the legislative reception. They were joined by Lieutenant Governor Glenn McConnell and 70 members of the SC General Assembly. Former College student Benny Plasencia entertained on the piano. Attendees mingled and discussed the many reasons they support the College.
