It’s that time of year again. Tax season is upon us.

College of Charleston employees will soon be able to access their IRS compliant tax year 2011 W2 forms electronically through MyCharleston.  You will receive an e-mail notification with access instructions once the tax year 2011 W-2 forms are available online.

Unless consent is given to provide your W-2 electronically, a hard copy of your W2 form will be mailed to your mailing/home address no later than January 31, 2012.  If you DO NOT want your 2011 W2 form mailed through the U. S. Postal Service, please log-on to MyCharleston to provide electronic consent.

Once logged in to MyCharleston, click on the Employee tab. In the Banner Self-Service module, select Employee è Tax Forms è and Electronic W-2 Consent.

If you agree with the consent statement, simply toggle ‘consent to receive W-2 electronically’ box and click the ‘submit’ button.

Please note you may withdraw this consent at any time by un-toggling the ‘consent to receive W-2 electronically’ box and clicking the ‘submit’ button.  If you choose to revoke your consent subsequent to the mailing of the W-2 forms, you will need to complete a W-2 reprint request form, which can be found on the ‘Financial Forms’ link located on the Budgeting and Payroll Service’s website.
