The intent is always to “catch up before the test”, but, alas, when pages and chapters pile up, it is often difficult to get back on track. At this week’s Study Skills Seminar

we will address ways to tackle academic reading before it becomes unmanageable, including suggestions for breaking up tasks, and a variety of Active Reading Strategies designed to improve reading engagement and retention, and also help you create study guides from reading assignments.
If you are struggling with reading in a class this semester, please bring your textbooks to the Seminar, so you may see how specific strategies can be applied to your reading assignments, giving you a ‘springboard’ for jumping into the text right away!
